Refund Policy
Effective 22 August 2026
photon is sold by Apple through the App Store. Apple takes the payment and Apple issues the refunds — we have no way to do it on your behalf.
1. Asking for a refund
Request one from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, signed in with the Apple Account that bought it. Apple decides the outcome under its own terms.
2. Cancelling a subscription
Cancel in Settings ▸ your Apple Account ▸ Subscriptions, on any of your devices, at least 24 hours before the period ends — including during the free trial, which otherwise turns into a paid subscription. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not refund the period you are already in, and photon keeps working until that period runs out. A one-off purchase is not a subscription and has nothing to cancel.
3. Try us first
Most of what looks like a reason for a refund is a server setting or an awkward file, and we would rather fix it. Tell us the app version and which server it happened against, at [email protected].
Before buying, note that photon supplies no content of its own — it needs a server you run, a subscription you pay for, or files already on your device. See section 1 of the Terms of Use, and ask us if you are unsure it will suit your setup.
4. Your statutory rights
Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be waived. If you are a consumer, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 entitles you to a repair, replacement or refund where digital content is not of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose or as described.
